About Us
 Alembic International came into being in Vanuatu , an archipelago of pristine islands in
the far flung Southwest Pacific. At its inception, the Company's focus was on some of
the unique health-related botanicals (kava, tamanu, noni) which were native to those
islands.
In the year 2000, Alembic International was established on the Big Island of Hawai'i. We
are now based in the uniquely picturesque town of Honoka'a, on the slopes of majestic
Mauna Kea volcano.
 It has been our commitment to respect and honor those who bring forth our wonderful
products from the earth and at the same time to ensure that the products we supply
are consciously processed and of the highest quality. Equally important has been our
commitment to attain a fair return to the farmers, who are responsible for the planting,
cultivation, and harvesting of these products.
Until the early 1990's agriculture on the island of Hawai'i was characterized almost
exclusively by mono-cropping. Sugar was the island's only industry which collapsed at
that time, leaving those who worked the land without livelihood or future prospects.
The present, diversified agriculture of Hawai'i has arisen almost Phoenix-like from the
ashes of the burned sugar fields.
 It is our commitment to support and encourage the agricultural renaissance on the Island
of Hawai'i . In doing so, it is our policy to make every effort in ensuring that the
return to farmers is fair and supportive not only of their attainment of a decent living,
but also of the further development of diversified agriculture on the island. Our
relationship with the growers can be distilled to the motto, 'We tell the truth and we
keep our promises'.
Our operations are governed by the highest standards and a fundamental commitment to fiscal
responsibility, integrity, and service.
